Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can physical therapy help me?

Physical therapists are trained to identify deficiencies in the biomechanics of the body. Working with a physical therapist can target specific areas of weakness in the way our bodies work. They can relieve stress, help the body function without pain, and/or help you recover from surgeries. After a thorough evaluation of your pain/injury, a physical therapist develops a treatment plan that is customized to your specific needs. You will also receive customized home exercise program as well as education on injury prevention and general wellness.

  • Do you participate with my insurance?

We work with most major insurance providers, and we do our best to help you keep the paperwork pain-free. If you’d like to confirm your insurance coverage, please let us know and we can verify the details of insurance coverage for you.

  • What if I was involved in an auto accident?

You have Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefit under your own auto insurance policy that covers your medical bills up to the limits of your policy. Additionally, PIP coverage pays for your lost wages and passenger's medical costs incurred due to the accident. It is important to contact your auto insurance company after an accident has occurred and request that they send to you the PIP application in order to activate PIP coverage. Even if you have PIP coverage under your auto insurance policy, PIP will not be available for payment until you submit PIP application to your insurance company.

  • How often do I need to attend physical therapy?

Frequency of attendance is dependent upon your diagnosis, your physician’s recommendation, and/or evaluation by your physical therapist. A typical plan of care for physical therapy includes attendance two-three times per week.

  • What happens on my first visit?

Here are a few quick things you should know before getting started:

    • You can make the most of your visit to the clinic by filling out the new patient paperwork at home and bringing it with you to the clinic.
    • Show up 15 minutes before your appointment with forms pre-filled. If you haven’t filled out your forms yet, just give yourself a few extra minutes before your appointment to fill them out.
    • Wear comfortable clothes that allow for a wide range of movements.
    • Remember to bring your health insurance and/or claim details, plus any braces, crutches, and splints if you use them.
    • If you have a referral, bring that along.

That’s it! That’s everything you need to know to get started.

During your first visit, you will be evaluated by a licensed physical therapist who will get to know you ensuring we understand your mobility issues, medical history, and the goals you’re setting for your future. Each patient's condition is unique and your treatment plan is customized to meet your specific needs.
