Dr.Ko grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland until he went to college in Michigan. He received Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Andrews University in 1999, then continued to study further in California. Dr. Ko received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in 2001. During his study, Dr. Ko actively contributed to the field of physical therapy through his leadership and instructing other PT students in Acute and Rehabilitation Department of Loma Linda Medical Center.
After graduation, Dr. Ko decided to come back to his hometown in Maryland to practice physical therapy. From 2002 to 2007, Dr. Ko had worked at Access Physical Therapy, which became very successful during his employment by providing quality care and stress-free, enjoyable treatment experience to the patients.
In addition to working at Access, two Adult Medical Day Care centers had asked Dr. Ko to provide treatments to their clients, in which he worked with various ailments associated with elderly population.
In December 2008, Dr. Ko opened a new office, Synergy Physical Therapy, in Maple Lawn community and has been practicing as a lead physical therapist. The practice has grown steadily since then, simply through patient's referrals and word of mouth. Additionally, Dr. Ko was asked to to work as an Ergonomics Consultant by Ahold (the parent company of Giant Foods) for a year which provided valuable help for employees in injury prevention.
Dr. Ko's primary focus is on finding new innovative approach to treatment and is dedicated to expanding his knowledge and techniques through continuing education and hands-on training.
